As a unit manager for a unit within general telephone services (customer service) for sickness insurance, you will lead a team that answers over 1 million customer calls each year. The staff in general telephone services respond to various questions about sickness insurance and are often the first point of contact for customers with Försäkringskassan. It is therefore crucial that our customers receive answers to their questions and a positive reception.
Close leadership, change, sustainable workplace
As a unit manager, you are the leader closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit.
Your unit consists of 20 employees who work to answer incoming phone calls to Försäkringskassan and are located in Östersund. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding of the context, direction, and the goals the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of a management group consisting of 7 managers, HR support, and an administrative assistant, where you contribute your expertise and engagement. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and skills.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

- experience in leadership in similar operations
- experience in coaching leadership and leading through change
- experience in leading remotely
- experience in planning your operations in collaboration with remote colleagues
- a good understanding of Försäkringskassan's mission
- experience working in telephone or call center operations.

1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date as agreed. A probationary period may be applicable.
